Assignment # 23 Gingerbread House

         Assignment # 23 is to make a Gingerbread House on Sketch up 8. The Gingerbread house at the left is the back and the one at the right side id the front view of the gingerbread house. The small picture is the original picture of the Gingerbread house that i make my from. To do this assignment, you have to go online and find a picture of a gingerbread house that you like and open it up on Sketch Up 8 and use the things you had learned to make the gingerbread house.

3rd Marking Period

     3rd marking period's assignments is base on using Sketch Up 8 to make 12 different blocks. Each day, we have to look at the picture for the one that I have to do on that day. Then open Sketch Up 8 and make a block with the measure of its shape. After making a block, you start to measure the size of it. After you measure it, you have to use pencil tool to draw it out. Then use push or pull tool to make the block look like the way you want it to be. Lastly you can use the print bucket tool to fill in the color you want for each sides of the block. Up to today, i finished up to block #4 and here is the pictures of the blocks I had make.

Assignment # 20

           This phone is a test on marking period 2. There were many steps for this phone test. You have to follow the steps on the website and do what they want you to do, then you will be able to finish the phone test. The one I have is not really complete because I don't want to put in the letters, so my phone is without letters. Also, my phone don't have the one that wireless phone sit on. For this phone test, all you have to do is to make rectangles over each other and circles over one another.After you finish the test, you have to save it in the Ai , JPG and PSD then send them to the teacher with the name of this assignment.

2nd Marking Period part 2

   This is Assignment # 16,we have to use the Smart Filters in Photoshop. We have to find a picture with something is moving,the picture I choose is a train.First you have to open the picture on Photoshop, then make the picture Motion Blur. After that, you have to use Brush Tool to print in the image where you don't want it to be blur.After all those steps you have to save it as JPG and PSD then send them to the teacher.

  Assignment # 17 is using a Quick Mask to make a detailed selection. First you have to go online to find a picture of a person, then choose one that you want to change a little detail things the make that person look better. The picture I had choose is a pretty girl.After I choose the picture, I have to open the picture on Photoshop. First you have to zoom in the place you want to make a change, then click on Quick Mask and use Brush Tool to print over the areas you want to select,then click on Inverse to change the color of the areas you had selected. The change I had make to the picture I choose is the eye. After doing all those steps, I save the picture as JPG and PSD then send them to my teacher.

   Assignment # 18 is to add a Soft filtering skin tone.For this assignment, you can choose a picture of yourself or a picture of a older person. I use my own picture, is also the same picture I had use for assignment # 3.First you have to make a copy of your background layer,then click Convert for Smart filters.Then make the picture Gaussian Blur and also make the layer to Screen.After changing all those things, use Brush Tool to print over the important features to bring them out. After doing that, save the picture as JPG and PSD then sent both of then and also the original picture to the teacher.

2nd Marking Period

        This is assignment #11, for the headline i use glass text effect i had learned in 1st marking period. For the background i use white in the middle and really light green around it. On my flyer, i included the date of the event, the time that is start and end, the location of the event and a paragraph to explain a little more detail about the event, Noche de Ciencia. For the date, time and location, i use dark black so when people look at it, won't be able to miss the important part. For the paragraph, i use sky blue for it. So it can look better with some colorful color on the flyer.After finish the flyer,I save it in both JPG and PSD.

      This is assignment # 12, for this assignment we have to find a dress(boys need to find a suit). Then open the dress on Photoshop and follow the steps on the internet to make you own dress. You have to go on line and find a pattern you like and put them on you dress to make it look nice.Also you can use the things you have learned before to put into this assignment to make you own dress look better and make it look the way that no one will be the same as yours. The pattern I had choose is a picture with all different sizes of stars,but i only choose one side of a big star to put on my dress.Then i change the color a little and make that side os the star look like it match with the dress. After you finish, you have to save in on JPG and PSD and send them to the teacher.

    This is assignment # 13, we have to create a new poster that tell people what to eat to be healthy. For the poster we have to find a picture of junk food and change it to healthy foods. We have to use what we had learned from other assignments to change the picture into a new food picture. The junk food I use for this poster is French Fries and i changed it into vegetables.The reason i choose French Fries because most people eat French Fries everyday and they always said French Fried is make from potato,so they just tell them-self potato is vegetable too.But your body don't need the vitamin from French Fries,because the French Fries got oiled and the vegetables we eat don't have that many oil in it,so it is healthy than French Fries. After changing the picture of food, we have to put in text and the logo of the NYC Food Bank.Then save it in JPG and PSD and send them to the teacher.

    Assignment # 14 is a Halloween project, we have to create our own Jack O' Lantern. There were two different website to teach how to do this project, one is easier and one is difficult. I choose the difficult one at first, but when I got up to step 8 I give up...So i choose the easier one to finish my project. To do this project, i have to find a picture with a pumpkin on it, then open it on Photoshop and cut the background off and save only the part with the pumpkin.For the background,I fill it with black then use Brush Tool to make some orange color at the back. For the eyes,nose and the mouth of the pumpkin i have to use pen tool to draw the outline of the eyes, nose and mouth first the fill in the inside with black color. After I fill in, i have to click on blending option and follow the steps on the website to make the eyes, nose and mouth look like it have light inside. After that I have to type in the text of my project, the text i type in is "Amy's Jack O'Lantern 2013". After i type in the text, I have to save it in JPG and PSD and send them to the teacher.

    Assignment #15 a is to make two pictures into one picture.I have to go online and look for one picture of the England flag and one picture of a wall.Then open both of them on Photoshop and open the website that teach you how to make the flag look like it in on the wall.You just have to follow the steps on that website,you will make the same pictures as i have on the top. After I finish with the picture, i save it as JPG and PSD and send them to the teacher as the others.

   Assignment # 15 b is the same steps as assignment # 15a.The only different between this two assignment is the picture that the flag will be on. Assignment # 15a is the wall, this assignment is you own picture. You have to do the same steps as assignment # 15a, after you finish all the steps, you have to use eraser to erase the parts that is not on the face and just keep the parts on the face only. Also erase the parts on the eyes and the mouth.After erasing all the things,save it as JPG and PSD and send them to the teacher as the others.
